Prologis, Inc. has received full approval from the San Francisco Board of Supervisors for its San Francisco Gateway project (SF Gateway), the city’s first multi-story production, distribution, repair (PDR) facility. SF Gateway will transform a 17-acre site in Bayview Hunters Point, replacing four obsolete World War II-era warehouses with 1.6 million square feet of PDR space across two three-story facilities.

Located within one of the city’s last core PDR districts, the building’s multi-level design will accommodate a range of businesses, from manufacturers to distribution operators to wholesale storage and light industrial firms, according to Prologis.

“Founded on three core principles – quality jobs, community and innovation – this project will deliver infrastructure that keeps goods moving, creates jobs and contributes to San Francisco’s economy,” said Courtney Bell, VP of development at Prologis. “We are thankful to the city and Bayview Hunters Point community for their partnership and are immensely proud to continue investing in the Bay Area.”
